Military Band War Lives On

First and foremost, I would like to list down a probably list of keywords/search phrases that band freaks might use on search engines to fish for comments from the display band competition. Wanna do this cuz I want everyone to read what I've got to say since linkinixus.blogdrive.com no longer has space for comments. Darn it! Ok here goes....abit of warning ah...it's gonna get bloody long and detailed...hahaha...

OKAY! HAHA! With THAT done...let's get down to the main part of this blog entry. Oh wait, wait...to u band freaks, let me intro myself first k? So you won't think my comments are not credible enuf...cuz you may tink i'm just some idiot who know nuts abt the display band scene and talk cock only. Basically, I entered TK Band back in 1999 and graduated from TK in 2002. So I took part in the 2000 and 2002 display band competition. So when i saw the comments on Linkinixus abt TK Band in those times, i nearly died...cuz u obviously didn't watch any of those past competition videos including 1998 (the start of TK Band's continuous best band wins). Eg...comments like "TK did windmill and Taj Mahal meh?"...Must be young kids u noe this ppl...like sec 1 or sec 2 liddat...2000 was like TK Band's best...IF SOMEBODY HAS THAT YEAR SYF VCD BURN FOR ME PLS! The part when we formed the Forbidden City of China and took out those striking red lanterns out of almost nowhere, u can literally hear the audience went "woah..." Man...such a priceless moment...!! Then, in 2002, the year we surprisingly swept both awards. When the announcement was made that Marco Sumitra got the Best Drum Major award, our band members burst out crying cuz we know that once a school wins the Best Drum Major award, it simply means, we didnt clinch the Best Display Band award. Never has a band won both awards in history. At that moment, contrary to our sadness, Bowen band who were behind us were smiling gleefully, their alumni jumping up and down...finally, the results were announced and the unexpected happened, we won Best Display as well! The mood between Bowen and TK changed...u can see it...we cried even further (of happiness)...it's just too good to be true! PRICELESS! PRICELESS!!

Alright!! Shit man....I got blasted to the past. Coming back to present....where was i? Oh...the comments on Linkinixus. Dun mind if i cut and paste the comments here ah...

This person like obviously...OBVIOUSLY not from a marching band ah....He/she calls the thing that drum majors(yes drum major...not band major..) throw in the air a sword. A sword?! A pole or stick nvm ah...acceptable...sword seh. It's called a MACE lah sayang. This person pro bpghs man. Yah i admit tk was boring in April. And so wat if we play if we play slow songs? We play it well wat and not blasting like the rest. You come back for July comp ah...i guarantee got fast songs for u. U obviously dunno music right? Don't have interesting displays?! Pegasus was gorgeous. But yeah, u'r right...other than superbly played music...tk was nothing, standards lower, and yes very lucky to enter finals...thank god for great music...we scored in terms of music..definitely

Even Malaysia's sch bands r bring home Gold medals. when is our turn? Tk the best on land?..hmm yah rite.. on a tiny land called Singapore...

This person ah....u will regret saying that man. Let me tell you what happen when i was still in TK Band ok my dear? Back in 2001 or 2002...can't remember ah..pls, this was like 4/5 years ago! Our then band master, told us that MOE has chosen us to take part in the upcoming..*ahem* World Association of Marching Bands, World Championship in Milan, Italy. A world class competition...but then, our bloody principal den, said that we won't be joining because she wants the sec4s to concentrate on 'O' Levels. Bastard...u noe how angry we were?!?! You don't believe this, u ask MOE ah! Ministry of Education ok? Not Ministry of Environment! Then in 2000, year of the Olympic Games in Sydney, we were invited by officials to perform in the opening ceremony. HOW GLORIOUS WOULD THAT BE!? As usual, my principal reject for the same reasons. EAT SHIT LAH! Olympics leh! When else can we get that opportunity!

To those who hate TK, u have every reason to hate them. I would hate them if i was from Bowen or Deyi. Arrogant bastards rite? Hahaha...the only competitor TK Band has is themselves...they simply have to beat what they were 2 years ago to win again. But seriously, Deyi band, u have improved alot...bowen, you have a drum majorette again! Whee~! So nice to see a girl man..Girl power to ya!

Eh shoot...i type soo long already ah..ok lah..if i wanna say something else..will continue tomorrow ok? Bye!
