COUNTDOWN 2009Tell me please...what is there to celebrate about a new year?
It's just another year to me which will eventually pass and then everyone awaits for 2010 and hopes for a better year.
We are
ALWAYS hoping for a better year.
Whatever I wish for the new year,
NEVER HAPPENS. That's the sad case.
But honestly, why is there a need to countdown to a new year?
You know, I'll tell you what we should COUNTDOWN to....Everytime, we receive Government GST Credit on a particular day...WE SHOULD DO A COUNTDOWN!!!now THAT is something to celebrate.Tonight, I'm just gonna be at home playing Word Challenge on Facebook.

JAPAN...HERE MY MANAGER COMES!!!He's going Japan tomorrow!! And so I told him where to go to help me find my
Tamagotch Color Plus.
I gave him all the photos he need....
Told him I would prefer the white or black but I have this tiny feeling those colours are sold out.
:(
Told him where to find it and gave him a photo of
Tama Depa -
a Tamagotchi only department store. COOL SHIT EH?
Tama Depa is located in Harajuku in a place called Tokyo Dome - a
baseball stadium which has restaurants, shops and a theme park.
Here you'll find the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame for baseball fans.
Below, is Bandai Japan, Chief "Tamagotchi" Officer...Takeichi Hongo.
It is the first time they had to appoint such a position because they don't want the past to repeat.
The past being Tamagotchi sales went crazy back in 1997 but went the fad died it resulted in alot of unsold units which created a huge loss to Bandai.
So they are being more careful this time and making sure supply doesn't exceed demand.
Takeichi Hongo, chief Tamagotchi officer at Bandai Co., shows off a new version of the virtual pet game at the firm's headquarters in Taito Ward, Tokyo. TAIGA URANAKA PHOTO
I want my colour tamagotch!!! :) :) :)
Only when Gerry can't find it, I will order it online. Hehe...

When online gaming becomes an obsession...
....it becomes almost mental. Like kookoo....kookoo....
Jocelyn and her online friends brought me to another dimension (Suntec Tropics Atrium) where I saw a different class of our Human race.
Jocelyn, don't worry ok, i cannot classify you together with them cuz you are my friend. So be thankful that you are my friend. LOL...
They were the HARD CORE gamers aka No-Lifers. And I don't know how much I have to emphasize the word HARD CORE.
I mean look at that guy below in the photo....
And trust me, there were tons of guys who looked like him in the crowd. Guys who wished they were something in the real world but have to make do with their fantasy online life. Well, at least they are a somebody somewhere.
So what was this Asiasoft, Maple Story event about?
The event was actually a live auction.
And what kinda stuff did they auction?
Online Maple Story weapons. Yes, untouchable virtual online weapons which can give its user unimaginable strenght in the world of Maple.
Who the fuck will buy sia?
Got.....somebody bid over 600 SGD for that item below man...Yes, the fucking pixelated item that nerd in orange is holding up in the air.
And you thought that was crazy?
Somebody else bid over 3,000 SGD for that item circled below ok?!?!??!
When they called up the winning bidder to the stage, I thought it was a blardy rich and insane midget.
But it turned out to be a nerdy looking, over weight 10 year old boy...
HIS MUM PAID FOR THAT PIXELATED WEAPON LOR....
Like, what the hell is the mother teaching her son!? That it is ok to spend OVER 3K for nonsense like that?????
FUCK, with $$3,000$$....I can stay for 2 nights in Raffles Hotel!!!
OR
Go for a peaceful holiday in Japan for 1 week !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow...and I thought I could call myself a gamer...

My Kodoten involved into....
Kuriten!!!
Yay....Btw, the new Tamagotchi Version 6 (v6) - Music Star will be out soon in America. Not sure whether it will be out in Singapore on the same date.
BUT WHY A V6!?!??!
Why can't Bandai just release the Tamagotchi Plus Colour/Color to the rest of the world already!?!?
Instead we still get the pathetic pixelated versions...damnit...

YEAH!!! Finally the parcel I've been waiting for is here!!!
I'll never get sick of getting parcels seh. The excitement of hearing someone knocking at the door and saying, "Singpost!"
CRABS!!! Chilli crabs????
Whatever....I removed all the newspapers and bubble wraps and found the thing I was looking for.... =)
"A flash of light, a brilliant starburst and instantly, an adorable little winged spirit appears. It's time to welcome your bouncing bundle into the world! Congratulations! You've just become the proud guardian of a Tamagotchi Angel. As a guardian, you have a very important task: to raise your Tamagotchi Angel well. Will your Tamagotchi Angel be sent back to its celestial home with a good spirit? It’s up to you to raise your Tamagotchi Angel with just the right measure of love and attention. If you're successful, your Tamagotchi Angel will fly home to be rewarded with its wings, if not, well... you can always try again!" - Bandai
My Angel Gotch....or Tamagotchi Angel.
This is the Japan version which was released in 1997 (?). I heard the Japan version isn't rare. The European and American ones are rarer. But I still love the Japan version...
I heard that the value of the tamagotchi will go way down if you've removed it from its package. But curiosity for the better of me and I was like "HECK CARE LAH!"
I OPENED THE PACKAGING....PULLED OUT THE TAB....SET THE DATE AND WAITED FOR MY ANGEL TO APPEAR...
took freaking 5 mins...I thought it was spoilt man...
But nevertheless....my angel appeared...awww...
wahahahaha
SO HERE'S THE GROWTH OF MY TAMAGOTCHI SO FAR!!! =) =) =)
The Japan version starts out with Obaketchi...that's where you wait 5 mins
After 5 mins, your angel will appear! The Obaketchi II. This one requires loads of attention...
After about an hour and a half...it will evolve into.....Maruten!!! Freaking cute...
Today, at around 1pm, my Maruten evolved into Kadoten. I believe it is one of the healthiest angel character you can get at this stage. Woohoo!!
Yeah...the tamagotchi angel evolves much quicker than the normal tamagotchi. I think it evolves everyday in fact...
The only thing is, the angel cant die, instead it will finally make its way to heaven or something like that and thanks you for it! In Angel Gotch...you basically act as a guardian to your lil angel.
ONE LAST THING!!!
Sometimes, when you feed your angel candy...a BAT would appear and tries to steal it from your angel.
So what the hell do you do?
You have to lightly tap the screen to scare the bat away!!
Ok...enough for today...will update further tonight or tomorrow...
Are those planes??
Or are they stars??
NO!
They're Jupiter and Venus!
Yeap, I was told to look out the window early this week. And there they were...Jupiter and Venus. If only I had super good camera with ultra zoom technology...or watever you call 'em.
Hmm...I always wanted to travel to space and see some of the planets up close and float in the air and stuff.
But since that will never happen because I'm not a rocket scientist, I decided to make-do with eating at Wild Rocket restaurant.
Yeah...yeah...I know it has absolutely nothing to do with space travelling.
Wild Rocket is a cosy fine dining restaurant at Mt Emily hotel.
It was opened by an ex lawyer who happened to love cooking more than his full time career as a professional manipulator.
Sorry for the dark photos. The place was dimly lit and I didnt wanna turn on my flash cause I would look sooo Suahku (however you spell it...). And I forgot to adjust my camera's ISO setting. Dang...
Firman ordered a dish called Lamb Shank with whipped potato and some sauce...sorry I should observe the menu better next time.
Initially, I wanted to order the Soft Shell Crab for starters but this Ang Moh sitting at a table beside us beat me to it.
Since I didn't wanna appear Kaypoh...I ordered Teriyaki Salmon with brown rice instead.
Wow!!! The Teriyaki Salmon was delicious!! So juicy...the salmon was cooked just right and not stiff like some which I've tried.
AND FOR DESSERT....WE HAD THE EVER FAMOUS....
DARK LAVA CAKE!!
I was so excited about trying it, I forgot to take a photo of it first. So as you can see, the cake was already massacred by the ravenous couple. DAMN THE DIM LIGHTING...i apologise again to those people going "What the f**k can I see?" right now.
OOooOOooo....look at the dark chocolate temptingly oooooozing out of the warm cake...
They added mint leaves too! They smelt like my toothpaste!!! Hehehe...k enough...
Overally I was happy!! After hearing so much about Wild Rocket's dark lava cake, I finally got to taste it and am really satisfied with it. It has now become my benchmark!!
TRY IT!!!!!!
Btw, you have to reserve your seats in advance. And the whole dinner cost us about $80. So make sure you have enough dough!! For those who aren't classified as COOL...enough dough means enough money.
