Omg...Sentosa's retarded. I always tot Sentosa's retarded but since my bf was brainwashed into thinking that Sentosa is such a magical place (thanks to its spectacular website), I've decided to follow him in his enthusiasm.
I went to the beach and I hear Hawaii-5-O being played some where. I took in the scenery....low waves...thus no surfer dudes...up ahead you see big ships with all those containers and some chimney-like tower emitting fumes...i still hear Hawaii-5-O playing. =S
Then, there's the Merlion park. Nothing special. Some fountains, a small maze and a dead filthy wishing well which i bet doesn't make wishes come true no more. I tink if u were to drop ur coin in it right now, u'll get bad luck or something. Urgh...da water in it is like so dirty...yellowish and all...god i wanna puke...
But u should check out the Merlion at night, its nice with the lights and laser shooting out its eyes instead of water gushing out its mouth.
And have you guys watched the Musical Fountain? I tot its one of the nicer things to see in Sentosa. They have water displays and all the laser effects...quite pretty. They also have fire shooting out creating something which looks like mini atomic bombs going off everywhere. Somehow, I felt like i was watching some Death Metal concert. At other times, it made me feel like I'm in hell. And you have that stupid laser green monkey called Kiki saying how beautiful his world is. I felt like he's mocking us cuz we're stuck in hell aka earth. Earth's not really hell but sometimes u just hate it? The politics, the people, the war...U get wat i mean? Ah watever...
After the whole Sentosa trip, my bf said i was right, Sentosa's retarded. Yes! But they are gonna revamp the place. Gd for them. Gd for Singapore's pride.
