Nothing wrong with Chinese girls, if they're seriously willing to commit. So later we're gonna have Anugerah Band on Suria again. Yes people, that program with the logo that has a HIP-HOP bling bling on it. Are the producers confused?
I was somewhat excited abt the show when they announced it was gonna air soon. I mean being a lover of rock music, i love coming down for rock concerts and watching rock bands compete. So yeah...Anugerah Band was of course something I would be looking forward to albeit the irritatingly nonsensical logo.
I was quite disappointed when I missed the first 6 bands and told myself I better not miss the next 6. And I didn't miss that episode and watching it turned out to be an even bigger disappointment for me. What I can say just by looking at the show, is...Malay rock bands are sooo not moving forward. They are still stuck in the dark ages. And to be honest, no international potential =X. I tot I saw more hope when I watched Channel U's Superband.
There's so many things I wanna critic. But i don't know where to start. They always say Malays love to kutuk (put down) other Malays. But in my most sincere opinion, Malay rock bands are embarassing.
So let's start by saying that when I think of a rock band, I think of a group of musicians (lead guitarist/singer, bassist, drummer, keyboardist, wat have u) combining individual skills and capabilities to make awesome music TOGETHER. But to those bands in Anugerah, it appears to be that more importance is placed on showcasing individual talents. And it also seems like viewers are supporting the band for their individual talents as well, rather than the band itself as a whole.
Let's take for example the band who call themselves "Knightwings".
The name of the band in itself sounds ridiculous. Were they in Kentucky Fried Chicken when they decided to come up with this preposterous name? Sorry for being lame on my part. But seriously...The band has a male lead singer who could sing like the Malaysian divaZiana Zain. Yes, Ziana Zain. However, other than the fact I couldn't understand a word he was singing, the band was just creating trashy noise. Yet viewers were endlessly praising the band just because they had a singer who could shriek like a girl.
Then, there's Trabo..
They reminded me of Guns 'n Roses (with the hair and all) but the music of course cannot be compared to that of the legendary band. And wow... the guy on the right (yes, not the one pointing) has beautiful long flowy hair! Reminded me of the Herbal Essences biker commericial. BUT! I have to give credit to the drummer who took the initiative to learn more about the drums thru music theory lessons.
I mean, why call urself a musician when u can't even comprehend basic music theory?
Showing off ur guitar solo means nothing when the whole composition of the song just sound like a sad messy piece of worthless noise.
There were only 2 bands last week which I personally feel somewhat managed to compose what sounded like music to my ears. They were Rancour and Putra. But even they didn't blew me away. And I remembered a particular judge saying to Putra "You have a handsome lead singer". Hey!That's definitely the kind of comment the band needs to help them improve next time round! On second thought, I salute KEIGO SPHINX for attempting to be different.
I find the hosts irritating to a certain aspect. And yes I agree with the text comment. NURUL NURUL NURUL = BOREDOM. And she didn't redeem herself when she kept forgetting her lines that day. AND Suzairhe looks disgusting.
I wish we had more alternative Malay rock bands with members who are influenced by a wide genre of music. I figure that the more exposed you are to various forms of music genre, the more creative and interesting the composition of music will be.
And that's why, ladies and gentlemen, I only listen to Indonesian rock.
Don't forget US, UK, Canadian and Jap rock too!

Return the bag? Ur ass) I said "random" because before pulling this stunt, I would have decided which bag I want like a year in advance giving me enough time to save up money for that. And den point to that exact bag during the stunt and make it look like it was just a random choice. Bleah~

Mine's a blend of strawberries, banana, papaya i think...It's super nice lah! I loved Zatty's also...Zatty ended up just stoning afterwards. That's Zatty in the background. The atmosphere of this place will just make u stone lah....trust me

Decided to treat her a meal and dessert cuz I forgot to wish her Happy Birthday on her birthday. So disgusted with myself. Went to TCC at Suntec and had a "PEACH ME UP"! Look at the CUTEraspberry! The drink tasted like the doctor's cough medicine actually. But eventually u get used to the taste and it's not that bad. I left the raspberry last cuz I like to savour the BEST parts.
The raspberry turned out to be SUPER sour...
That's the thing about berries in tropical countries. They're sour. Dang...
ANYWAY....Recommended book: Everything Men Know About Women by Dr. Alan Francis Over a MILLION copies sold!
I'm currently reading this book "Then We Came to the End" by Joshua Ferris. Bought it cuz the reviews were good and it was the National Book Award Finalist. Reviews claimed the novel to be hilarious.
When I first started reading it, I was like....okaay...I'm not lmao. Am I too dense to get the joke (If there was even one)?
But the more I kept reading it, the more I realise, WOW...these office people are really sadpathetic. It was only when i had the impression of pathetic office people that the novel became superbly funny.
It's about a group of copywriters and designers who are facing a period of layoffs. And all the anxiety about who's next to get dumped drives some of them up the wall.
Here's a short excerpt from the novel:
"...Karen and Larry didn't get on because Larry was an Art Director and Karen a Senior Art Director and titles meant everything. Every AD wants to be a SAD. If you were a SAD you had your eyes on becoming an Acker. Acker was our phonetic translation of Associate Creative Director. Ackers wanted to be Creetors (Creative Directors), and every Creetor envied the Eveeps. You could either be a Creveep (Creative Executive Vice President), or an Ackveep (Account Services Executive Vice President), but both species hoped equally to be invited one day into partnership. What the partners dreamed of was the stuff of Magellan, da Gama, Columbus, et al."
At this point of time when I'm preparing and sending resumes, I'm like "crap...I'm gonna end up like one of them". I'll be the moron wondering after 10 years, "why am I still not promoted!?!" Nevertheless, this is the perfect book to prepare me for the ruthless office politics awaiting my arrival.

When I received the letter asking me to renew my contract, I got excited. I began doing my search and evaluation on the current phones.

I called up Khatijah, asked her about her opinion but I knew she was gonna pick the Viewty cuz of her obsession with getting a touch phone. Kekeke...I myself was keen on getting a touchcreen but was wary about buying the Viewty cuz I was worried I wouldn't be accustomed to texting people by TOUCHING the keypad.
Tick tock tick tock....my dad got his phone and it was my turn...Lo and behold! I mumbled, "I think I'll just get the Viewty...."

By this time, I got really excited. Started to set up my phone...MY LG BEAUTY...

So i inserted, charged it and started to fiddle around with the touchscreen keypad. It took me about a day to get used to it. But once I did, it's really fun and I can type considerably fast - though nothing beats the conventional keypad.
I got addicted to this phone, kept touching the screen even when I have nothing to do with it. Been trying to take photos with it as well. Overall, I'm more than satisfied with this phone, though I wish I could download themes(I can't find them on the net!!!) and I wish they had more games.

David Gan is a HIMBO. He is the KING...or rather the QUEEN of Himbos. Did you see him on Fashion Forward? Showing off all his designer suits in that walk-in wardrobe of his. Today's exam paper was a BITCH. Especially the last question. The question was pretty straightforward. Out of the 2 strategic options. Recommend one and explain why. But I don't know, I started to panic and didn't know how to begin so I ended up writing any-oh-how.
It went something like, "They should segment the market and conduct a demand analysis on the basis of market potential and sales forecast. This is to ensure that the business marketer know how much resources he should allocate to each segment. As of now, I don't know what I'm writing. Everything does not make sense. In fact, I don't know why you are still reading this bullshit. So can you do me a favour? I don't need a distinction for this paper, heck, I don't even need a credit. Could you just pass me? I'm really desperate. So if I allowed you to stop reading my work, could u just gimme a pass? PLEASE...." Those words in white was what I didn't write but SHOULD have wrote to the marker. DAMN...
