SINGAPORE GARDENFESTIVAL(another season of enchantment)
And enchanted I was...
But I only liked level 6 =D It was at the Suntec Convention and I was happy I went! My ticket was only $3 because that's the "STUDENT" price on a weekday. Lol...
Thought I'll show something that'll make you laugh. =D These Perfect 10 Deejays can really find loads of ideas to make fun of people. Who else but the Muttons!
So I found this photo on a current band member's blog. I hope you dun mind! It's the clearest. Lol..
The display was ok lah...nothing really new cuz I saw everything already.
I had more fun finding all my old friends!!! AAH! Was quite nice to see Taili and Caleb again. They were the ones who tot us how to fall out. LOL!
And I think it was Dr Jazlan who drove in tat Mercedes sports car. Dang!
Aww..it was great to see everyone again!! Especially my dear section leader, fellow trumpeter, fellow batch of 2002, Terence. Wahaha! Look at him drowned in girls. He was soo happy.
And yes everyone from my section remembered the day my head got knocked by a flying mouthpiece from my junior KOK KEONG, dat got my head bleeding and dirtying the canteen floor with my blood right after the cleaner finished mopping. HAHAHA!
But the funnies thing was when Shawn wanted to get the attention of Muz's SUPER CUTE son. And his son looked away...didnt even wanna look at Shawn's face. Muz only replied, "How does it feel like to be rejected?" Lol...
So they arrived in Singapore at Changi Airport yesterday. Whee!
Here are some photos which my friend caught from his digicam.
Look at that ang moh lady in the background (above). She is like "hmmm...oooh. How did i get "stuck" with the whole Brazilian football team?"
Now i seriously feel like following my fren and stalk them all the way till Monday. Lol. Just for fun! And Ronaldinho seriously looks like Jar Jar Binks.
Yunling must be crying back in Orlando looking at these photos. Kekeke....
"I always have ideas on how I would torture ppl I hate. [Note: I'm a gd girl and in real life, I would never hurt a soul...so I use my imagination to satisfy my desire to torture] Ok, at this moment, I have this particular person in my mind...
Right now, I shall be an artist. My tool isn't the paintbrush...or the pencil...or watever...it's simply a small sharp knife. This knife of mine can create masterpieces. It helps me carve not on wood, but on human bodies. The bodies I use are carefully selected. So, if u'r chosen, u shud feel honoured.
Today, this special person I chose is very lucky indeed. She will have her face restructured permanently. You may even call it a free facial makeover by me. She has a beautiful smile...but u noe wat...i dun think it's beautiful enuf. It needs to be a lot wider. With my faithful knife, I shall slice both sides of her lips so that it goes all the way up her ears. She'll be grinning from ear to ear...literally...forever...Her smile will be soooo freaking W I D E,it will make the Chesire Cat (frm Alice in Wonderland) proud..
She also has perfect eyes...but art is not always abt perfection rite? Rite....So, wif my knife, I'll carve out her left eyeball. Left or right it doesn't matter...jus one eyeball. Then, I'll let it dangle on its veins for......artistic effect......
Now, every piece of art has its significance. If not, it wouldn't be called art. So what does mine says? Well, ladies and gentleman...thewide grin on her delicate face clearly represents happiness in the face of tough situations or sufferings. She is smiling VERY widely despite the pain she has to endure. It's something like...u shud always try to look on the bright side of life. The idea of looking on the bright side of life is represented by her perfect right eye. Herleft eyerepresents hardship, pain....watever bad things u can think of. Her left eye may be permanently destroyed...but it'sOKAY...cuz she still can depend on her perfect right eye. She's not totally blind so she's happy abt tat...i mean look...she's still SMILING! Her dangling left eyealso represents endurance. The eyeball is just hanging on to dear life (the veins). We're struggling to hold on...but we still hold on...a never give up attitude...u noe?
This new piece of art work by me is not only for staring purposes...it can be quite functional too. All u need is a hose. Shove it into her mouth...(with a gap that big it isn't a very difficult task). Then try to manoeuvre the hose up her head and out of her left eye socket and WA LA~ A HUMAN FOUNTAIN! (Connect the hose to a tap first. Then, turn it on. DUH)
God noes wth I'm bulshitting abt right now...watever...keep smiling k?....*grins*"
It's FINGER-LICKING GOOD... for the fishies. Jocelyn and I were at Boat Quay yesterday to find the office which I'm suppose to head to for the interview/appointment or "CHAT" this coming wednesday with the Senior Account Manager who prefers if you call him via his BLACKBERRY.
It was easy to find, it's the office just above the Forum Seafood Restaurant along Boat Quay. I decided that we should go climb the stairs to take a closer look. So we TRIED to QUIETLY climb up those creaking wooden stairs. There was this flying insect, which I suspect is a cockroach but I shall not think or try to find out about it. Nothing to see except a white closed door so we climbed down. Jocelyn was squealing trying to brush that annoying flying creature as we climbed down the stairs.
So back to fishies.
Jocelyn decided she needs to visit the loo. So of course we headed to the nearby toilet or RESTROOM at the Fullerton. That's when we saw a school of Koi fishies right outside the restrooms.
Ignoring our fears we decided to stick our fingers and later hands into the water.
OKAAY...so I screamed "OWW!" But it wasnt painful really. I was just shocked that the fish sucked the whole tip of my finger into its mouth!!
They had lips that could rival Angelina's. Their lips felt soo rubbery like condoms. But Jocelyn didnt think it felt like condoms. And then, we peed.
In the restroom cubicles of course...
Later in the day we visited Times the Bookstore at Marina Square and I found a book, "Blackberry for Dummies". Jocelyn (or was it I) suggested to purchase that as a gift to Mr Senior Account Manager. But Jocelyn said I probably need to paste a piece of paper above the word "Dummies" and write "Smarties" instead. I didnt buy it.
In the evening, Firman brought me to Alexandra to eat yummy Nasi Goreng Pattaya.
Today, I'm just slacking at home, freezing in this cold weather with a runny nose with no mood to send any more resumes.
Most jobs out there require experience. So for fresh grad losers like me, getting a job is DIFFICULT X 10,000
Here's some tips from an experienced resume sender - ME.
If the ad says, "1/2 year experience" Apply. And pray that they're somehow very impressed by your cover letter and resume and decides to consider you despite your lack of experience.
If the ad says, "1/2 year experience, fresh grads welcomed" APPLY APPLY. But keep in mind that those with experience will definitely be prefered.
If the ad says, "No experience required. Training will be provided. Fresh grads welcomed" APPLY APPLY APPLY APPLY!!! What are you waiting for!?
If the ad says,"1/2 year experience, URGENT!" Don't bother applying cause it simply means, they don't have time to train you and so it's definitely not for fresh grads.
If the ad says, "5-8 years of experience, senior marketing/director" You're a fresh grad loser, move on. But if you're that free, you can apply for fun. Don't expect a callback.
If the ad says, "1/2 year experience. N/O/A level/Higher Nitec/Diploma/Degree may apply. Fresh PSLE graduates welcomed"(I just added the PSLE thing for fun) Don't apply. I mean seriously, THAT'S A JOKE. The employer is CONFUSED.
I've done a resume makeover. Thanks a huge bunch to Michelle and Firman. My resume looks much better. So...I hope things will turn around and I'll soon find my phone buzzing endlessly with interview appointments! =)
PLUS...I have another interview next wednesday with an ang moh who told me to call him on his BLACKBERRY if I need to call him.
I think most of the neighbours just love this cat. Everyone kept feeding it cat food. Lol..I think neighbours should start planning a feed-the-catduty roster so it won't become too fat.
Giving myself a good lick..
But I think the cat hates me or something. Everytime I wanna pet it, it goes away. DAMN.
Am I thaaaat dirty?
Maybe if I feed the cat, it'll be friends with me?
I will bribe for the kitty's friendship with cat food one day.
The school is organising a band alumni homecoming on Saturday 26 July 2008 from 4 pm to 5.30 pm. We will be providing updates on the band, its development and plans going forward. The TK Band will also be giving a 10-minute performance on the school field as a preview of its show piece for the upcoming (blah blah) Competition in August.
We look forward to having you back on this occasion and the opportunity to network with you.
We would appreciate if you could drop the school office a note to indicate your attendance by Monday 14 July for our planning and catering of refreshments. Pl rsvp to Ms Gladys Chng at chng_ai_tze_gladys@moe.edu.sg
From Mr Siao:
Dear TK Band Alumni
It's great to see many of you back at TK last Saturday.
As spoken, this is the official email invite from the school. Apologies if it didnt reach you for the school may not have your email contact. Nonetheless, please come!
Also, we would appreciate it if you could pass the word around so that it will be a great time of reunion for all of us!
Looking so forward to seeing all of you on Saturday 26 July 2008.
I'm the first to apply can? Look...the Total Applications column is BLANK.
I also sent one to Bain & Mercer.
I'm quite keen on this position. I think I have sound knowledge of online marketing so this job would probably suit me. They've haven't seen my resume yet (thus that ZERO) but before I sent my resume they already have 3 under consideration! Hope they'll read my resume tomorrow and consider me. Heh... And omigosh...I think my salary expectation too HIGH lah. Only 1 higher and 11 lower. LOL! Well, I did state $2.5k but it's negotiable! =)
And one resume to some job agency..
They've read my resume! Thus, the "1" - meaning they've viewed it once. BUT...they haven't considered any applications yet. So it's in process, hopefully they'll make up their mind soon.
AND AGAIN...my salary expectation is higher than most who applied...bleah~
Ok will update here for u ppl if there's any changes in the status...wish me good luck please. Hehe
