The Account Executive acts as a bridge between our clients and GroupM. The executive shall report to the Account Manager, and is responsible for the day-to-day running of their clients' campaigns. They liaise between the client and a range of agency staff in order to coordinate the details of the advertising campaigns. The Account executive shall work closely with our clients throughout their marketing campaigns, managing the administrative and organisational work, and ensuring that this is completed on time and on budget. Requirements:
Typical work activities
An Account Executive's typical work activities revolve around the running of advertising campaigns, such as
• setting up meetings with clients and other agency staff;
• liaising with, and acting as the link between, the client and advertising agency by maintaining regular contact with both, ensuring that communication flows effectively;
• working with the account manager to brief media, creative and research staff, and assist with the formulation of marketing strategies;
• delegating work to other members of the agency team;
• overseeing the status of advertising campaigns;
• negotiating with clients and agency staff about the details of campaigns;
• presenting creative work to clients for approval or modification;
• meeting deadlines and prioritising tasks;
• handling budgets and managing campaign costs;
• writing reports, keeping records and financial details;
• undertaking administrative tasks;
• monitoring the profitability of accounts;
• becoming familiar with the nature of clients' products, business culture and competition and understanding the possibility of changes to these;
• monitoring the effectiveness of campaigns;
• arranging and attending meetings and reporting on key decisions.
