Yay! I finally got myself a tan. A real one! One tat would stay for quite some time (i hope). It's not too dark I guess...But bloody hell! My face hurts! Went swimming in the pool earlier in the day. I tink the pool is the best place to get a tan ah. Better den the beach...to me tat is. It has been a loong time since i last swam...haven been swimming since pri sch days seh. So I started wif freestyle...but drowned myself instead. Took a while before i somehow got it quite right. Then did the frog style...tat wasnt so bad. Could still do my backstroke though. I need to practice ah....feel like going swimming again! Anyone wanna join?!

"Ring ring!!"...went my Hp...well not reeally ring ring...it was actually a guitar solo from a Deep Purple song. And when tat tone rings it means it's an unknown no. So I was thinking, "This better be frm NUS, NTU or a call telling me i got a job somewhere"
So I hurriedly answered the phone but at the same time hoping its not some psycho (i have been dealing wif a series of psychos this past many days). Then, a woman's voice came on the line. She was explaining to me abt me going to some shop n taking part in some competition or was it some lucky draw which i was qualified in becuz i bought some things from dat unknown shop (I tink the place was called Delphi @ Orchard). And during the lucky draw i was the lucky 30 tat got picked. Obviously, by now u can tell tat i didnt really catch wat she said. It was very unclear. I jus said "uhuh..yea" during parts of the conversation where i tink its rite for me to go "uhuh..yea"...Well, basically whenever she paused. I couldnt understand her mumblings. But I did manage to catch stuffs like "U won $150 n a 2 night stay in Sentosa". Dat was enuf info for me...So I was like, "K...cool". Then she asked, "Btw, are u a student or a working adult?" I said, "Oh..erm..a student" She said, "
Oh sorry..den I guess we got the wrong no." Me: Oh ok..erm..bye

The Japan and China "war" is killing me. I read somewhere tat in China, ppl are spreading messages to boycott Japanese products thru their mobile phones. Yeah..their Jap made mobile phones ?(eg. Panasonic) . Plus, u watch the news and u see those Chinese ppl smashing up Japanese electrical products? Yeah...those Made in China ones? Wat irony... U noe, both countries shud jus make up man. Plus!! I also read tat the volcanoes of Sumatra might be erupting. Hot ashes are spewing out already! Like the earthquakes n tsunami not enough liddat! So suay rite!? Poor thing man! Singapore also better get ready for hotter temperatures and higher PSI(if the winds start blowing our way).

You all know that you can never walk along Orchard Road without being stopped by annoying surveyors or donate-so-i-can-get-my-commission "charity volunteers". They're everywhere! They're suffocating! They're sooo common u can even smell them frm far! Take Orchard MRT for example...u noe they're there man...they're ALWAYS there...Liyana and I are becoming really gd at detecting them frm a distance...so gd tat its becoming our instinct. U have to learn to detect them first b4 they detect u. Its helpful when it comes to finding alternate routes to avoid them ya noe...(NOTE: Quick reaction upon detection of annoying irritants is important)
However, i dun tink many ppl were stopped on the streets by an outdoor eyebrow plucker rite? I dunno...maybe I'm wrong but it was definitely my first encounter wif one. So, last Wed, Zaima, Wani n I were walking along Scotts Rd when *poof!* a guy appeared out of god noes where and stopped us outside Tangs. Here was how the conversation or rather his speech went... (words in red are my tots or wat i was thinking at tat time)
Mr Plucker: Hello! Gd afternoon! [yeah...it was gd b4 u came by] I noticed u girls have messy eyebrows!! [woah!!! say louder lah! Let EVERYONE arnd us know!!]

My mum was watching the repeat telecast of Miss Sngapore Universe jus now. Did u ppl watch it? I hate the Qn n Ans section man. I didnt watch it again but I could hear it and i was cringing. I hear them talk I feel so paiseh. And esp when that model frm America is there as one of the judges. Jon Johnson's his name. I think they were so nervous, they have no idea wat the Qn was really all abt. Even if they do noe wat the Qn was abt, i dun tink they even understand half the things dat came out of their mouths. There was one Qn which asked something like, "If you could celebrate a festival
other den ur own (which i'm gonna take Chinese New Year). Which would it be n y?" She answered quite confidently, "Racial HarmonyDay". *Faints* I tink her name was Ling Lee or Ling Li. I tink Ling Lee. Heck..doesnt matter. Then another contestant was asked wat kind of shoes would she prefer a man to wear or something liddat. She said she likes guys who dress casual n is comfortable with anything tat he wears so...she like guys who wears flip flop. Is she for real? Flip flops?!? Do you girls like guys who wear flip flops. I mean there is nothing wrong but...i tink it depends on where he's heading? Wearing flip flops to the wet market or nearby coffee shop is fine but wearing dat to town is kinda strange..Aaah I dunno girls/women nowadays! Then I also realised how most of them werent very relax n it could be seen by the stiffness of their walk.
I heard Taufik sang Mrs Jones and I tot everything was fine until the end. He was singing or rather trying to sing dis long high note n i tink his voice suddenly cut short like he suddenly choked on his saliva or something. Was so obvious to me. Dunno whether it was obvious to the rest of Singapore. It completely destroyed him. He sounded like a
sad injured dog. *Ooww!! Ow!* So when dat happened, he jus stopped singing, stood up n said, "Ladies n Gentlemen, Ms Eunice Aulsen(k i forgot how to spell her surname..sorry)". I mean Eunice was not even trying to hide her laughter when Taufik screwed up at the end. I would have laughed too if I was her.
Aiyah, at least this time Miss Singapore not bad lah. Quite pretty...though I was voting for Natasha Riard.
I'm still jobless. Yay! But next week must go look for new job already. Yay!

So-called treat frens Swensens today. When it was time to pay the bill, my DBS card got rejected cuz there wasnt enuf money in it. Fren paid instead. Wat an embarassment. Stupid bank. Take so long. Dun they noe tat money makes the world go round. My world stopped today. No money to top up ezlink. No money to spend on clothes. No money to pay the treat. No money for anything. Having no money
