Fireworks were awesome tonight! As awesome as yesterday's display by France. =)

Oh and there was a performance by TK Band. Couldn't hear anything from where I was sitting.
A lady said, "All I can hear are the cymbals".
Another lady said,"It's a small band"

SMALL BAND?!?! HELLO...HUH? Hahahaha...ok maybe they did look small cuz the floating stadium was quite huge. Wonder if the sec4s were part of it.

At the end of the whole thing, we were surrounded by smoke. The drizzle didn't help.
Exiting the stadium was unpleasant.
I was squeezed and pushed at by people...it was a human traffic jam right outside the stadium. I hope they bathed man!!! Eeeewww...........
And with a band called Cats and Cradle, I felt like I was in a MOSH PIT. They played Black Holes and Revelations by Muse and I was tempted to jump up and down, headbanging. Hahahaha!~

Yay!! My resignation has been received by HR! My last day is next Monday which also happens to be PAY DAY! Whee~

Was watching Singapore vs China live online in the office. The table tennis match of course.

Singapore lost...and as usual, we won first round and lost the rest.

Oh well...kinda expected. But Jiawei is good lah...kudos to her for making it this far.

I can't sound so sour about everything right? hahaha

Later, I'll be heading down to Marina Sq I guess, to catch 'em fireworks. Yeah, the fireworks fest is BAAACCK! Maybe I'll post pictures afterwards or tomorrow. =)

Everytime someone walks behind me, I would have to switch windows to a page filled with graphs (It will be the same set of graphs everyday till I LEAVE). Just so I look busy. Cuz of that, I took half an hour to complete beginners sudoku on MSN when it usually only require 12-15 mins.

And did I tell you my very NEW CPU sounds like a freaking vacuum cleaner? So noisy lah! Once I turn it off at 6pm, the whole office is suddenly sooo quiet. Everyone turned and this auntie was like "Wah! Ur computer really very loud ah!" This other girl said "Oh...so THIS is what normal sounds like".

BORED.

Hmmm...they still havent update me the status of my resignation. If i found out that its not processed,I will freaking kill them. Yes, I will...She said, all I needed to do was to write them an email. So I did. And I've not heard anything ever since yesterday. K I'll be patient and wait for new info. I wanna get out!!!

Oh and there was this newcomer to the office yesterday and she asked whether I was new so i said yeah I am.
Den she continued and asked what will I be doing here once they've taught me what I needed to noe.
So, I said... "Oh..I'm not sure yet...maybe do the HP reports?"
She said... "Oh..So u'r not sure yet too? Okok..Hopefully we'll find out soon enuf!"
I said... "Haha! Yeah..hope so. I' bored!"
My colleague - who knew I am quitting - just gave me a weird look and sniggered.

I got to know some stuffs about my manager yesterday which I thought was kinda interesting.

He chatted her up after she thrashed him GOOD. They then joined a guild and the guild has like meetings a few times a month? So that was how they got to know each other even further...blah blah blah, they got attached.

My manager would be home after work playing World of Warcraft from 10pm-2am. Sounds crazy enuf? Hmm..not really lah. I know how it feels to be addicted to a game. But not soo fanatic till I'll join a guild and go for real life meetings ok....

Next info I found out about him (btw, all these info is from his own mouth. I wasn't listening to gossips or watever..haha) is that he was from Raffles. YEAH, RI and RJC.

Then, his partner was like, "Huh? Den why are u working here?"His reply was, "Why? Cannot meh? So I go Raffles means I must join Parliament is it?? Must I be an MP?"

Anyway, my manager has resigned. After working for only 6 months? He has to do 3 month notice now.

OKAY...You must be wondering, "isn't Faizah working now? Den why is she blogging?"

Well yeah, I've got nothing to do. ABSOLUTELY nothing. Why??

Firstly, I NEVER SAID YOU GUYS SUCK. So NEVER EVER add words to my opinions. What I want to say is you guys are GOOD but you are not the BEST when compared to INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS. Don't tell me, you can't accept that fact.

I read from your fellow bandmate, that you guys expected COP. We, ex-members expected BRONZE. So, who is putting who down?

How can you say that? Those who tooked part in 2001 Indoor competition KNEW what it was like to not get the results they wanted. The band members at that time practised soo hard, aiming for a GOLD at the SYF INDOOR COMPETITION IN 2001. But alas, we got SILVER. THE BAND CRIED in pain.

On 12 April 2008, when they announced that Deyi won Best Display. DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY ALUMNI MEMBERS TRIED TO HOLD BACK THEIR TEARS? Because we wanted to be strong for you guys. DO YOU? We passed each other comments saying "Don't cry infront of them". So HELL YEAH, we felt horrible BUT yes, we also KNOW how terribly WORSE you guys must have felt because of all the hard work you've put through. So again, please don't make assumptions.

They are there. If not physically, they are supporting you guys spiritually.

JC People have academic goals to achieve. And don't compare it to Secondary School academic goals.

Poly and university students have tonnes of projects and may need to work part-time to help them finance school fees and bank loans. Don't forget the time they need to do tutorials, projects itself, as well as preparing for tests and exams.

So you said, when you graduate, u will become an active alumni. I am seriously waiting. Den when you realise "why isnt the rest of my batch helping as well?". You ASK THEM WHY. Before you know it, you realise it's the same reasons your dear current alumni has given to you now.

We are beginning to except DCI. We all discussed this among ourselves and some of us do realise that DCI may be the only way we can succeed in 2010. So yes, WE KNOW THAT CHANGE IS NECESSARY. And WE KNOW WE HAVE NO CHOICE. Don't make us sound like we are CLUELESS about the the SYF Outdoor environment.

WE ARE NOT BOYCOTTING THE BAND.

Again, the reason why some are not there to HELP are reasons too complexed for you to understand. Not because you are young. It's just that there are too many factors involved, I wouldnt know where to start if we were to explain.

But one thing I can tell you that, some of us INCLUDING MYSELF, have made it an effort to visit the band and view the band's progress (as stated by a fellow ex-member on my tagboard), and yes, if that is not enuf, we don't know wat is to you. We WISH we could help, but it is AWKWARD, WEIRD - FIND ALL THE SYNONYMOUS WORDS - for us to suddenly appear and HELP. It's hard to explain to you but one day you will understand and I don't blame you if you do not at this age. BUT like i've said, the principal has encouraged us to come back and help and we have given our contacts, so things may change and you may see MORE EX-MEMBERS coming back to help. Things will improve alright? The defeat TK Band faced on 12 April has made the alumni stronger.

WE ARE NOT SABOTAGING THE BAND.

Like everyone else I know, we are not upset TK Band received a bronze at the KLWMBC 2008 preliminaries yesterday. It's the result expected by EVERYONE except the current band members? Well some of the current band members anyway...hahaha

Yeah, we knew they won't get gold after viewing the bands from past KLWMBC on youtube and then comparing that with TK Band's performance during Homecoming.

But it's definitely good exposure for them.

I guess it'll make the band members more humble after realising, "hey...we got ALOT to improve on"

I remembered tagging on a particular blog saying "Hey good luck for KLWBC, but the thai band is really good eh? Check 'em out on youtube."

And their reply?

"Yeah they're good but we're different and we'll stand out"

It's comments like this by the current band members that make me feel like they still think they're the best in the world. They're not. Well, they're still kids.

So yeah, a bronze is good. WAKES THEM UP ABIT. Especially the kids competing in SYF 2010.

Actually, a score of 76.9 is not bad I guess. They did all that they could. =)

I hope they will fair better at the 2009 competition in Netherlands!! I wanna help with flag party! Or colour guards or watever...

Oh and Deyi band is competiting for that too? Gosh...

I AM UGLY AND SHORT AND I KNOW IT

Wanna noe what I see EVERY single day when I wake up?


THAT is what I see in the mirror everyday. That ugly piece of shit. Small shapeless eyes, a frreaking flat nose pasted onto a face that is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too big. On top of all that crap I get bushy, untamed, ruthless hair.

I will never look at myself in the bathroom mirror at home with glasses. Cuz I'm freaking myopic, my face becomes a blur and i LOVE IT better that way.

The hardest part of being an ugly girl is looking pretty or at least look NORMAL. I wear make up and straighten my fringe because i wanna look NORMAL.

I am 21and heading towards being 22 soon but i look like a fucking 13 year old. AND BEING SHORT DOES NOT HELP.
